I love to write, but I’m not a writer. I write because it’s cathartic. I write because sometimes I feel like I must write or explode. I’ve written about everything from the shenanigans of my kids who are smarter and funnier than I am to those moments I know I’m not getting any parent-of-the-year awards. I’ve written about my parenting journey, my faith journey, my journey to conquer anxiety and self-esteem issues and my journey to be a better LGBTQ ally. Sometimes I write to inspire empathy, understanding, love, and respect. Once upon a time I wrote only for myself, but more and more frequently I write transparently about life’s ups and downs to connect with others.
I’m just an imperfect person doing my best to make a difference and I know I’m not alone. YOU are not alone. You’re welcome to join me on this adventure to live and love bigger and louder because life is just better with an ally or two and those of us who are crazy enough to think we can change the world need to stick together!
